David Hart has been a sound operator/designer for over 20 years in the theatre industry.
Born in Weymouth, Dorset, David started to apply his skills as a sound engineer at the Weymouth Pavilion theatre where he spent many years mixing the shows that came through the theatres doors.
David spent several years producing music for TV and radio as well as re-mixing dance music for well known labels, he was also a lecturer in music technology at colleges on the south coast in his early years before fully focusing on musical theatre sound and working in London on the musical ‘Blood Brothers’ at the Phoenix Theatre.
After leaving Blood Brothers in 2009, David started his own sound company called ‘Seventh Wave Audio’ where he has invested heavily in high-end audio equipment brands such as d&b audiotechnik, DiGiCo, Sennheiser and DPA.
His company ‘Seventh Wave’ has worked on many high profile projects since forming in 2009 including tours with west end singer ‘Lee Mead’, The Kite Runner UK Tour, The Wizard of Oz UK Tour, The very first Jesus Christ Superstar production to be staged in a UK cathedral which featured finalists from the ITV television show ‘ITV Superstar’ and also featured a stunning 55 piece philharmonic orchestra.
David also designs and supply’s sound for many large scale pantomimes around the UK and has recently teamed up with ‘David Ball Productions Ltd’ to design and supply sound for the successful ‘The Clockmaker’s Daughter in Concert’ that was staged at the Cadagon Hall, London.
